Sound

By pushing 40 watts of power through two 10-inch Jensen P-19R speakers with alnico magnets, Fender says the Custom Vibrolux Reverb is ‘loud enough for any club.’ With a preamp built on five 12AX7 and one 12AT7 tube, the entire Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb’s output is powered by two 6L6 Groove Tubes. The amplifier is dynamic and responsive, with the sound largely dictated by an individual guitarist’s playing style. Two distinct channels offer guitarists both normal and light sound style, s and the amplifier’s built-in vibrato and reverb can be used when either channel is selected.

Features

The custom Vibrolux Reverb offers plenty of connectivity options and customization options to further shape its vintage-inspired sound. Each of its independent channels has two 1/4-inch inputs so that two guitars can be played through the amplifier at the same time. Furthermore, each channel also offers full equalization options with independent buttons to control volume, treble and bass. The custom Vibrolux Reverb naming vibrato effect can also have its speed and intensity adjusted. For guitarists looking for more volume, the amplifier also provides a single 4-ohm jack to connect an external speaker.

Design

Weighing in at 46 kg and housed in a Baltic birch plywood cabinet, the Custom Vibrolux Reverb is 25 inches wide, 19.5 inches long and 8.5 cm deep. It has 19-inch rear legs for maximum sound projection and a two-button foot switch for easy handling of the amplifier’s reverb and vibrato settings. Controlled by vintage-white knobs, this amp also has Fender’s brand-based ‘Blackface Style Control Panel’ as a complement to its black sides and silver color. An extra cover can be purchased to protect the Custom Vibrolux Reverb from dust while not in use. The Custom Vibrolux Reverb amplifier is both designed and manufactured in the USA by the Fender Amp Custom Shop.
